The Primal Edge · Team Experiences

See what your team is really made of.

A team day without the usual corporate bollocks.

Can your team survive a day without Google, Deliveroo — or AI telling you what to do?

Choose a Lake District team day, an overnight experience or the Survival Challenge.

Lake District days and overnight experiences by arrangement.

A group gathered around a campfire at night

Out of the office. Into the woods.

Take away the screens, job titles and familiar routines. Working in small groups, your people face practical survival challenges that demand clear thinking, communication and action.

The survival skills are real. The workplace lessons are impossible to miss.

No studio set and no staged corporate exercises. These are the environments we work in, the skills we teach and the way Tom and Dan lead.

Choose the experience that fits your team.

Lake District team days.

A guided day in the mountains, shaped around your group’s ability and objectives. Shared navigation, practical decisions and time away from the workplace create opportunities for a different kind of conversation.

Overnight experiences.

More time to explore, learn and connect. Discuss a guided mountain experience with an overnight stay outdoors and arrangements tailored to your group.

The Survival Challenge

Survival Challenge for modern teams.

One mission. Limited resources. No online answer.

Nobody knows whether AI is going to replace us all. But by the end of today, your team will at least know how to build a shelter, light a fire and boil a brew.

Wild food and nature. Shelter against the clock. Fire and boiling water. A resource auction. One final mission that combines your skills and brings everyone together under pressure.

The challenge is outdoors. The value comes back to work.

  • Clearer communication.

Teams immediately see the difference between talking, listening and actually understanding one another.

  • Leadership without titles.

Away from the hierarchy, different people step forward and hidden strengths appear.

  • Calm decisions under pressure.

Pause, assess what matters and choose the next useful action when the clock is moving.

  • Resourcefulness.

Use what is available, learn from failure and find another way when the original plan stops working.

  • Stronger connection.

Shared challenges create natural conversation, laughter and stories that another meeting never will.

  • A proper reset.

Move, breathe and concentrate away from messages, notifications and the constant pull of a screen.

From briefing to final mission.

The pace builds deliberately. Teams learn, compete, adapt and finish with a focused debrief that brings the lessons back to work.

Friendly competition builds through the day before one final challenge brings everything — and everyone — together.

Not corporate facilitators holding a clipboard. Tom and Dan combine outdoor experience with practical coaching to create a day that is adventurous, inclusive and relevant.

Adventure, without the unnecessary uncertainty.

Tell us about your team, what you want from the day and the dates you are considering. We will recommend the right location and shape the challenge around your group.

No previous outdoor experience is required for the Survival Challenge. We will explain clothing, travel and practical arrangements before the day.

For mountain days and overnight experiences, we’ll talk through walking fitness, access needs and the arrangements that suit your group before you book.

What happens next

A simple first conversation.

Tell us about your team, what you want from the day and the dates you are considering.

We will recommend the right location and shape the challenge around your group.

Please keep health information out of this form. If a suitability discussion is needed, we’ll explain how to provide it privately.

Questions

Is there a fixed price?

No. We shape each day around your team, then send a clear proposal with the price. There is no generic package.

Can everyone take part?

The Survival Challenge is not military selection and nobody needs to be particularly fit or experienced outdoors. Every challenge demands a different kind of contribution. For mountain days and overnight experiences, we talk through walking fitness, access and suitability with you first.

What about the weather?

Outdoor days are planned around the weather. We discuss what that means for your date when we plan the day.

Do you share qualifications and insurance details?

Ask us and we will include confirmed details in your proposal.
